Sick of 280-character tweets already? Here's how to go back

Twitter's maximum tweet length has finally been raised to 280 characters. For some users, this is super exciting. For others, it's the worst thing ever to hit the Internet.

If you're in the latter category, you're in luck. Our friends over at Slate have developed a new Chrome extension called "140" that will help you blissfully ignore the new Twitter for as long as you'd like. 

The extension will cut every tweet on your feed down to 140 characters, and will restrict your tweets to the old limit as well. You can download it straight from the Chrome Web Store.  Read more...
